Brutalist Handmade Ceramic Wall Sconce, U-Sconce by Streicher Goods

About the Item

The U-Sconce is a small, brutalist-inspired wall sconce, perfect for bedrooms, bathrooms, or accent lighting in larger living spaces, created by Streicher Goods in Brooklyn, NY. There is no right way or wrong way to mount the U-Sconce. The flattened arch-like shape features 2 mirrored openings to create an even illumination of light upwards and downwards, or if you’re feeling daring, sideways. The exterior of the piece mimics a stone, wearing a hand-painted texture that is achieved by meticulously building up acrylic wash and then sealing it with satin varnish. The interior’s bronze glaze reflects warm light that contrasts the cooler, rock-like tones of the outside surface. Each piece in the "Deep Reflections" Collection is hand-painted, using various techniques to build up the acrylic paint, creating the faux rock-like appearance to the outside of the ceramic piece. *Please note: Exterior texture will vary piece to piece due to the hand-painted process
