This stunning pair of Maria Theresa-style crystal wall sconces, made in Italy circa the 1950s, exemplifies timeless elegance and opulence. Each sconce is grand in scale, measuring 30 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. The gilded brass frames are intricately beaded, supporting seven scrolling candle arms that culminate in delicate, scalloped glass bobeches. The fixtures are adorned with swags of crystal strands, prisms, and teardrops, creating an elegant display of light and reflection. The Maria Theresa style is named after Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, inspired by a magnificent palace chandelier commissioned in the 18th century.
