About the Item

A modernist mid century wall lamp model E2928, produced in the 1950s by the well known Swedish electric company ASEA. Crafted from molded aluminum and steel in original dove blue paint with an organically shaped shade adjustable i different directions. ASEA, the Swedish electrical company, was established as early as 1883, specializing in the production of electrical lights and generators. By the late 1940s, ASEA had acquired several rival companies, solidifying its position as one of Sweden's premier manufacturers of light fixtures. ASEA's Stockholm drawing office was responsible for the development of numerous modernist lamps, designed for both public spaces and domestic applications. The company collaborated with several renowned designers, including Hans Bergström and Uno Kristiansson, over the years.
