About the Item

Industrial modernist wall or ceiling lamp model "Triplex" designed by Swedish engineer Johan Petter Johansson. This example made by Christian Bergh & Co ca 1930-40s. The design was completed by Johansson already in 1919. Made from grey lacquered metal and chromed details and telescopic stem. The ingenious construction makes the lamp adjustable in all angles and can be extended from 140-300 cm in length. The lamp was designed to enhance working environments in workshops, factories and hospitals and was later endorsed by functionalist architects and interior architects during the 1930s. Good vintage condition with age related wear and patina. scratches to the lacquer and small dents to lamp shade. Four pieces available. Price for one lamp.
