About the Item

Very long and impressive French Art Deco tubular sconces featuring solid glass rods that form a semi cylinder shaped column, mounted in heavily cast polished nickel bronze frames. Each paquebot style sconce features a long illuminated column of vertical glass rods topped by a faceted crown shape and supported by a fluted bullet shaped cap, while mounted in a polished nickeled bronze armature. Due to their scale, these sconces can even be used in lieu of a floor lamp as the entire glass entity illuminates from the front, the side and from the top as well. The bulbs create a beautiful striped pattern when lit up. Can be used in any room : theater, hallway, over a fireplace mantle, dining area, bedroom, on a column wall, in an Art Deco, Industrial, Mid Century, Contemporary, Italian design or Modernist setting. The width of the glass column is 7". The max width at the top crown is 8 1/4 " . Holds six candelabra base incandescent or led bulbs. Several pairs available. Priced as a pair of two sconces, but can be purchased individually. Each single sconce weighs ~ 25 pounds.
