About the Item

Pair of 18th century Italian gilded and hand-carved angel lighting sconces. The pair of angels are originally from an angelic depiction in a historical Italian church. They were placed on either side of an altar in a church. Each is unique in its own right and perfectly preserved. The scones were hand-forged to be mounted with the angels. Each candlestick has been electrified for a US outlet to light and has a coordinating angel lampshade. The lampshades were custom-made in Florence, Italy. The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she modernized the piece and the period shows that the angel artifacts are originally 18th century. Together, they create historical yet contemporary lighting elements to adorn any space.
