Pair of 18th Century Louis XVI Gilt Bronze Two-Branch Wall Lights Scones

About the Item

A very decorative pair of late Louis XVI ormolu twin-branch wall-lights in the manner of Jean-Louis Prieur (1759-1795). Each with a tapering reeded backplate surmounted by a flaming urn finial and issuing C-scroll branches with foliate spreading drip-pans and gadrooned nozzles, above an acanthus-leaf boss, drilled for electricity. Very charming, authentic condition of this classic model.
