About the Item

This elegant pair of Neoclassical Giltwood Sconces where made in Italy in the early Nineteenth Century. The Neoclassical Giltwood Sconces where originally candle and have been French Wired for modern use. The Italian Giltwood Sconces have a hand carved giltwood acanthus rosette backplate that hangs on the wall. There are three wrought iron, gesso and giltwood candle branches that extend from the giltwood backplate. Each of the candle branches are gilt curved c-scrolled wrought iron and overlaid with gypsum to form fluted twist. The Italian Neoclassical Giltwood Sconces have a warm antique gilt finish. The Italian Neoclassical Giltwood Sconces are a perfect size for a bedroom, hallway, stairwell, water closet, or foyer. The sconces have been French wired using UL Listed parts and porcelain sockets.
