Pair Of Mid Century Modern Brutalist Wall lights

About the Item

This pair of Mid-Century Modern wall lights were removed from a building constructed in 1968 for a famous Bauhaus architect. Montreal has several examples of Minimalist inspired architecture and others of Brutalist influence. These wall lights are on the cusp of Minimalism and the Brutalist taste. We believe they are circa 1970. The moulded glass shades are chunky with raised panels of square and rectangular section. The lacquered gilt metal angled sides are smooth in interesting contrast to the rather beefy shades, the rough and smooth textures complement each other. They provide a warm and inviting light, stylish and intimate. We have multiple pairs available and will sell as a single wall light.

Wear consistent with age and use. These wall lite use a PLS Compact Fluorescent Lamp 9W 2 Pin G23 base and the wall sconce has the original internal transformer. Transformer included is without warranty. We have multiple pairs available and will sell as a single wall light.
