About the Item
Pair of vintage pewter wall sconces made by August Weygang, Germany, circa 1900. August Weygang founded his pewter firm 1885. He cast pewter using traditional methods practiced for several hundred years.
Many of his pieces made around the 1900 period grace the shelves of museums throughout Europe.
The lamps are exactly the same as one in the “Weygang Museum”. Signed with the August Weygang hallmark on the bottom.
The lamps takes two small Edison base bulbs. Delivery without bulbs.
