About the Item

Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1918. Björn Wiinblas was very active artistically from a very early age. He created artistic objects all over the world that are unique due to his artistic style. Among other things, he created a large tapestry with a Sheherazade motive in the Dallas USA World Trade Center. He worked for many years as a senior designer at the German Porcelain Manufactory Rosenthal, where he designed unique works of art for everyday use. Here you have a rare opportunity to acquire one of his Aurora wall lights. They come from a villa in northern Germany that was designed and built by an architect in the 1950s. The Aurora wall lights are made using an elaborate etching technique. The motif - in this case the world-famous peacock - is raised and the surrounding area has been removed. The lights have a beautiful patina and can be polished as desired.
