Sconces by Josef Frank, Austria 1930/1940

About the Item

Rare sconces by the Austrian designer Josef Frank. Designed and made for the House and Garden shop in Vienna in the 1930‘s. This pair of sconces coms with the original wooden fixture to the wall and orig. weird. Weiring can be easily exchanged into a modern one. Josef Frank was beside Josef Hoffmann, the most popular Architect and Designer in the Austrian Art Deco period. Unfortunately he has to leave Vienna due to ww2, but continued working as a leading creative head in the Svensk Tenn company in Sweden.
