About the Item

Very rare magnetic lamp from the Swiss manufacturer Temde based on a design by Eva Renée Nele from the early 70s. The most striking detail of this lamp can be found in the design of the lamp head. Curved metal strips surround the lamp and can be moved along a common axis. This fan-like opening of the slats allows the light emission to be controlled. In addition, this actually functional detail has an ornamental character and has a lasting impact on the lamp with its changing appearance. The lamp head appears in almost organic-looking shapes. The back of the base is equipped with a magnet to mount the lamp on magnetic metal surfaces. The cable exits visibly from the bottom of the light. It is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. This piece has an attribution mark, Official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records or other literature sources is available, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise Additional information: Materials: Metal Style: Mid-Century Modern Period: 1970s Country of Origin: Switzerland Item Type: Vintage, Antique or Pre-owned Dimensions: 4.33ʺW × 8.27ʺD × 1.97ʺL Condition: Good Condition, Some Imperfections Condition Notes: Some Imperfections.
