About the Item
There are good reasons why this lamp is the right choice. Perfect for hallway entrance, study or desk use. The lamp measures 7.5" wide and 4" deep and 24.5" tall. The lamp shade is newer and is 16" 10x10. This bouillotte lamp is of the highest quality with beveled edged marble serving as its base, thicker than normal brass elements and steel socket covers used rather than plastic. The underside is a solid plinth of brass plate with feet set, and the finial is heavy, original and unique. This lamp is heavy in all elements and has substantial feel to it that is honest. We suspect a quality company like Chapman or the like produced this lamp. Note the on/off power switch which is original was used in lamps in the early to mid 20th Century. Will satisfy. Minor marks to white metal sockets and if requested can be properly repainted prior to shipment. The lamp shade is newer and not original and has minor condition issues. Possibly French production, but probably American.
