About the Item

Studio glass lamp with original shade made by renowned glass blower, Richard Harkness (New Hampshire, USA, circa 1970s). Harkness's work can be seen in a number of prestigious galleries and museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Additionally, he was formerly a professor of glassblowing at Haystack Mountain School of Arts. Harkness's lamps are scarcely seen. This particular art glass lamp in the 'lily pad' pattern features a dense swirl motif throughout. The aqua-tone blown glass finial and floral shade are both original to the piece. The glass shows age-expected wear but is free of chips and cracks. Artist's etched signature present on the underside.
