19th century Onyx Marble and Reticulated Bronze Table Lamp

About the Item

Antique oil burning lamp converted to electricity. Features include reticulated bronze ormolu in a floral pattern with an onyx marble Corinthian column and base. Beautiful veining in the marble. Bronze paw feet. Silk shade. The measurement below are for the overall height and the width and depth of the square base. The shade measures 11" wide at top and 18" wide at the bottom. See other measurements below. So-called onyx marble consist of concentric zones of calcite or aragonite deposited from cold-water solutions in caves and crevices and around the exits of springs.
