About the Item
A metallic-green, vintage Mid-Century Modern French desk light made of hand crafted metal, designed by Jean Louis Domecq and produced by Jielde, in good condition. The Industrial car brake, table lamp is composed with two adjustable arms, featuring a one light socket. Manufacturer label on the shade. The wires have been renewed. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1970 - 1980, Lyon, France.
Measures: base: 3" H x 8" W x 8" D
Shade: 6" H x 5.5" W x 5.5" D
Jean-Louis Domecq was a French mechanic and designer born in 1920, in France and passed away in 1983. Domecq was tired of searching an ideal table lamp for his workshop, thereupon Domecq decided to design and construct his own lamp.
