Adolf Loos Style Lamp in Brass & Faceted Glass, Austria 1950s
About the Item
In this listing you will find a gorgeous handmade table lamp in Adolf Loos style. The lamp is inspired by Art Deco style. It is done in brass and faceted glass.
The shape of the lamp is known in geometry as Truncated Icosahedron, which became popular in 1970 when Adidas introduced its new soccer ball at the World Cup in Mexico. Truncated Icosahedron has 12 regular pentagonal faces and 20 regular hexagonal faces. Together, they provide exceptional light with many beautiful shadows.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with small signs of time and use, such as patina. Lamp requires a single E27 lightbulb available worldwide. The special bulb visible in the pictures is include in purchase.
When purchased the lamp will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking number for your package.
