Assembled Pair of Brutalist Table Lamp by Damon Giffard for Hansen Lighting Co.
About the Item
Two Brutalist, Oriental school table lamps, designed by Damon Giffard for the Hansen Lighting Company c. 1970's. The lamps feature Chinese style brass, or copper, bodies, on wood plinth bases. Both have the signature three way rotating cuff on/off switch, both are in very good, clean, ready to use condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age. This "pair" of lamps are basically the same, with the following small differences between the two. One lamp is slightly lighter in tone, one lamp retains its original pointed finial ( H x H ).
We purchased these lamp from an estate where they had been situated in different rooms, one being exposed to more ambient light etc. over the years, resulting in one having patinated differently than the other, please see images.
