A lovely, whimsical pair of large scale plaster lamps by Continental Art Company, circa 1950. Male and Female figures with fabulous detail. Stunning Hollywood Regency ! Excellent Restored Condition. Rewired using clear cord, new brass 3-way sockets. Complete with new linen shades and solid bronze ball finials. Width and depth noted are per the base, the height noted is to the top of the finial. The price listed is for the pair.

The male figural plaster lamp and original hand woven cotton shade are in good vintage condition. The Continental Lamp Co. produced and wide variety of styles during the mid 20th century and lamps by the company have become quite collectible.
This mid-century Saxon crusader Robin Hood wood nymph themed chalk-ware figural table lamp. Continental Art Lamp Company was a Chicago based manufacturer located on the famous Division Street. The owners were John Matanky, the son of Russian immigrants, and three Italian nationals.
Plaster lamps were made from molds of sculptures by Italian designers. Production began in 1948 or 1949 and ended in
