Bill Curry ‘Stemlite’ Table Lamp in Red for Design Line, USA, 1960’s
About the Item
An original Stemlite table lamp designed by Bill Curry for Design Line, USA, circa 1960s. This model features the signature tulip-style cast metal base finished in vibrant red, paired with its original opal glass globe. A seminal piece of American modernist lighting, the Stemlite series was named one of the best designs of the decade by Industrial Design magazine in 1965.
This lamp embodies Curry’s philosophy of eliminating the “separate parts” of a lamp, resulting in a seamless, organic form. A true design icon of the Space Age movement.
Original inline rotary switch and wiring intact. Excellent patina to base; globe free of chips or cracks.
