About the Item
Candlestick or candle holder. Bronze. 19th century.
Bronze candlestick decorated with vegetal and venerated elements in light relief. Both the base and the axis or balustraded foot with a disc and the upper part present a series of curves in their profiles that show the influence of Rococo work from the 18th century. It was common in 19th century European silversmiths to seek inspiration from past styles, adapting them to the taste of the moment. ·
