This table lamp exists of multiple chrome layers and rests on a marble base. These multiple layers create depth within the lamp and emphasize its geometry.
The table lamp stems from the 1960s space age.
In this period, design became experimental and bold. Driven by technological advancements, Italian designers started using geometrical and symmetrical shapes.
This lamp reminds us of other designs of that era, such as Gaetano Sciolari’s. The geometric aspect and combination of different materials reappears in both.
The lamp is in good condition and has acquired a nice patina through the years.
