Czech Art Glass Figural Gondola Fruit Basket Light with Mirrored Pedestal Base
About the Item
This figural art glass fruit and flower basket was produced in Czechoslovakia in the mid-late 1930s in the period Art Deco style. This light is made of cast spelter that has an applied gilt finish. The ornate gondola shaped fruit basket has large scrolled handles, decorative pierced sides and a raised medallion in the center of the front. The art glass insert is a combination of clear and frosted fruit and the raised pedestal base has a mirrored top to reflect the light and ornate handles on either end.
