One of the most celebrated creations of Elio Martinelli is the Foglia Lamp, designed in 1969. This piece in transparant deep red is very rare. The name "Foglia," meaning "leaf" in Italian, reflects the lamp’s organic and nature-inspired shape. The lamp’s minimalist design showcases Martinelli’s commitment to clean lines and simplicity while retaining a sculptural elegance that makes it a standout piece in any setting. It's really breathtaking and still very funky!
The Foglia Lamp features a gently curved shade that resembles a leaf, with a smooth and fluid form. Made primarily from acrylic, the lamp reflects the innovative use of materials that characterized Martinelli’s designs during that era.
