Exceptional French Empire Brass Table Lamp, 1820s
An outstanding French Empire brass table lamp, circa 1820–30, originally designed as an oil lamp. Expertly converted to electricity in the early 20th century, it has recently been fitted with new wiring to meet modern safety standards.
The lamp features a finely cast and richly detailed brass base, displaying the refined ornamentation characteristic of the Empire style. It is topped with a new black lacquered shade, lined in gold to create a warm, ambient glow that enhances both classic and contemporary interiors.
A distinguished piece of historical design, offering both authenticity and functionality.
