Gilded Empire Lamp Bases 1700 Set of Four Palm Vases with square base and circular turned and carved body made of pine wood, water-gilded in fine gold leaf on red bole preparation. They are golden only on the front side while the back side is finished in yellow ochre earth tempera. In good condition apart from minor shortcomings consistent with dating to the late 1700s. Of Italian origin.
