Italian Mid-Century Table Lamp out of Sunflower Seeds and Resin R. Mazzi 1970s

About the Item

Fantastic lamp by R. Mazzi for Banci Florence from the 1970s. Signed by hand in red at the bottom. The lamp base consists of various pressed sunflower seeds pressed into a square (25x25cm) and then set in resin. There is a sturdy brass central flow in the middle, on top of which is a coarse, round silk shade (with and without cover). There are 2 sockets for light bulbs. The shade is covered in white on the inside so that the light also illuminates the shade. The object has a sculptural character due to the different cores.
