Swedish L/101 table lamp in brass. Design by Hans-Agne Jakobsson.
A nice example of Jakobsson's L-101 Model Lamp with its original purple glass shade.
Manufactured by AB Markaryd in Sweden, retains the original manufacturer label.
This was originally an Oil- or Petroleum light converted to electricity. Works on 110v or 220v. E14 bulb socket, which needs an E14 to E12 adapter to be used with candelabra bulbs. This adapter has just to be screwed into the original socket to use E12 bulbs. The adapter can be easily ordered on commercial platforms.
Nice state, patinated brass.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
