Versione originale vintage della lampada Alfa disegnata da Sergio Mazza nel 1959 ed entrata in produzione nel 1960.
Alfa è prima storica lampada prodotta da Artemide e disegnata dal suo fondatore (insieme ad Ernesto Gismondi)
Questo esemplare è databile negli anni 60 in considerazione del fatto che, a differenza di versioni più recenti, le parti metalliche sono di ottone nichelato (come è possibile verificare nelle foto in cui si vedono delle parti in cui la nichelatura è venuta meno e rimane la macchia in ottone.
poggiata su una base in elegante marmo nero, mentre il diffusore a campana è in cristallo lavorato con effetto plissettato. Alfa è una rievocazione della classica Abat Jour ma in chiave moderna e di design.
Essendo la lampada risalente ai primi esemplari di fine anni 60 (come dimostrato dalla struttura in ottone) non riporta marchio di attribuzione
