With its fascinating shape and heady scent, for many Asian cultures the lotus flower symbolizes elegance, beauty and grace. The support of this magical flower is a cone in enameled metal, which narrows upwards to embrace the luminous core. Like a bud that opens in the sunlight, Lotus unfolds its blow glass petals, made up of three separate elements. They gently filter the light to create an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
Ideal for bedside, desk and table use, this modern design lamp is an exquisite example of aesthetics combined with functionality.
Mason Editions is an Italian company specialized in the production of design furniture, lighting solutions, and accent pieces. Born from the lifelong passion for lighting and entrepreneurial spirit of Fabio and his partner Silvia, Mason Editions places itself halfway between fine art and exquisite craftsmanship. A collection of lighting, design objects, and furnishing accessories, signed by artists Serena Confalonieri, Martina Bartoli, and Matteo Fiorini, head of the creative direction. Mason Editions comes from the experience of an Italian lighting company placed in the Veneto region. An exquisite brass table lamp by the renowned Marbro Company, made in the 1950’s, the piece displays influences of Art Nouveau and Brutalist styles, the detailed lotus flower with buds to the centre, features brutalist embellishment to the central stem.
The lamp has a single large bayonet lamp fitting and is supplied with a modern replacement shade, a true interiors piece, and highly collectable from one of America’s most after lighting manufacturers.

The Marbro Company
The company was founded by Morris Markoff and his brother, hence the name Marbro from Markoff brothers. They started the company shortly after WWII. The company was located in a 3 story brick building in the garment district of Los Angeles, just south of downtown right by the Santa Monica Freeway. During the time they ran the company, they sold almost as many antiques as they did lamps.
Marbro sold their products mainly through interior designers and a few upscale furniture stores. You would not find a Marbro product in a chain furniture store or a discount store. Most of the products were built to order. A typical order from a designer or retailer took between 75 and 90 days to complete.
Most of the components that made up the lamp bodies (ceramic, brass, glass, etc) were purchased from small companies around the world. In the later years almost all of the brass came from India. For the most part, none of the bodies were made on site. Marbro was well-known for importing a variety of unique lighting components from all over the world. Italy was the source for alabaster, Japan and China for Porcelain, Brass in India and Crystal from Germany...

Exquisite brass lotus flower Hollywood Regency table lamp by Feldman Lighting Company often described as in the style of Tommi Parzinger. When originally sold in the 1960s, Feldman Lotus Lamps were customized to the buyer's taste - one could select the number of branches and end pieces not unlike a flower arrangement. This particular lamp features four branches with a budding lotus flower, two leaves and a lotus bud all emanating from a lotus flower central stem. Beautifully detailed and etched, each brass piece is carved with organic markings for a more natural look. A most alluring and seductive glow emanates from the brass. Upper crust look and sensibility. We've always pictured this lamp glowing atop a beautiful console in an elegant entry. But in any room, this lamp will be a show stopper that you'll notice and admire each time you gaze upon it. The lamp was professionally rewired and professionally polished and lacquered to retain the brass glow.
