About the Item
Jean Charles for Maison Charles exceptionally rare and very large tall gold-plated cast brass/bronze table lamp with original brass & bronze metal shade. This is an early example which is mounted on a marble base - the later models where set on metal bases and the gold-plated versions are even harder to find, in fact, we have never seen another one before. Opulent, ornate and decadent, everything you would expect from beautifully crafted French design. Perfect for any Hollywood Regency home or lover of midcentury design and a real collectors piece.
Nicely patinated, the piece is in overall in excellent vintage condition and it is extremely hard to find an original 'Palme' model lamp from the 1960s.
