Highly enjoyable, 1960s foray into Pop-art by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd. Time has faded the band but the piece is otherwise in good original condition with some age appropriate wear. A witty, distinctive design that turns a top hat into a lovely table light. Features a gold toned brim trim and an enameled metal base that has been repainted.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
