Mid-Century Minimalist Brass Table Lamp by Rosemarie & Rico Baltensweiler, 1960s
About the Item
Imposing brass table lamp. It is attributed to the Swiss manufacturer Baltensweiler.
A simple design with high variability. The cylindrical lamp head sits at the end of an angled arm. This is clamped in a plate base. The head can rotate and the arm can be tilted in both directions. The position of the arm can be fixed using a large screw head on the base. This structure of the lamp allows countless alignments. The lamp is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of wear. It has been rewired and the finish has been professionally polished to a mirror finish by an artisan. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity.
