About the Item
Classic table lamp from the traditional Finnish companies Taito and Idman based on a design by Paavo Tynell from the 1950s. A very rare original from Aalto and Tynell times.
A classic of Finnish mid-century design that is rarely found today. The lamp shows a harmonious contrast between the gold of the brass and the white of the shade and base. The shade is made of aluminum and painted. The striking perforation with elongated holes dissolves the boundaries of the shade and throws an atmospheric pattern into the room. The umbrella can be tilted to a certain angle using a joint on the shaft. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The light was repainted and wired. This piece has an attribution mark, European Plug (up to 250V). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
