About the Item
Nice vintage tree root or driftwood lamp sculpted by nature with embedded rocks that tree grew around. This comes from the estate of Morton D. May of May Department stores, major art collector of Pre-Columbian Art, Oceanic Art, Max Beckmann etc, whose uncle Samuel Marx the architect, who designed a master piece of architecture for him in St. Louis in 1941. Original shade, works and in fine vintage condition. In the style of Nakashima and organic modernism. 26" to top of shade, 24" to top of harp extension. Base is Measures: 13" W x 8.5" D x 11" H.
