About the Item
The size, the shape and the weight of this lamp cause it to stand out from the crowd. It is truly monumental at 38 inches tall. The lamp exudes Southwest and Aztec style with etching that appears on both sides. It is a midcentury modern incised white stone pillar lamp. It is In the Southwest American style, and from the mid to late 20th Century.Of oval section, the pillar-form body is incised in a Native American weaving pattern, on oval feet. The neutral palette gives it an elegant air. This is a definite conversation piece.
The condition is spectacular. When I uncovered this piece at auction last year, it was wrapped in clear protective cellophane and in pristine condition, unused.

This lamp is so special, so elegant and hard to find. The palette is attractive in ivory with leaves in various shades of green and gray that appear to be falling on this vintage botanical hand-painted porcelain vasiform table lamp. This is attributed to Europe from the mid 20th century.
There is a signature painted with a brush near the base of the lamp. The lamp's base is porcelain with gilt trim that is wearing in some sections. The plug is older and dates to mid-century or earlier. It presents well with an added white shade that is not included. It measures 33 inches tall from base to finial and 5 inches by 5 inches wide. The lamp's harp is old and unattractive with deep oxidation, and it will be replaced before delivery unless the buyer asks otherwise.
