Exceptional and rare pair of Alfredo Barbini for Cenedese Aquarium lamps with original linen shades. One lamp has 3 fish in seascape and the other has 2 fish and a starfish. Original wiring. 1950's Italy.
Total Assembled Height with shades 29.5"/ 28.5" and harps.
Lamps glass area alone, 16" x 6".
Shades 12" deep x 16" wide at base tapers to 12.5" at top
Original brass finial tops, one slightly taller than the other.

Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
