Pair of Balloon & Kite Painted Lamps
About the Item
A most unusual and special pair of tall table lamps, possibly by Stiffel, made of high-quality nickel plated satin brass and opaline glass hand painted with kites and hot air balloons, a la Montgolfier, with ebonized wood mounts and ribbed white glass uplight reflector. The satin nickel element is very similar to Fontana Arte model 2344 lamp by Max Ingrand. The stylized painted designs recall the work of Pierro Fornasetti.
