About the Item

Manufactured by Elektrosvit Nové Zámky under catalogue number 11641. Former Czechoslovakia 1950s. Crafted from black and white bakelite, can be hung as a wall light or used as a desk lamp. Despite its strong pre-war modernist aesthetic, it's often mistaken for a 1930s creation; however, it was actually produced much later, in the 1950 - 70s. The lamps comprise a single cast base with an on/off switch and bulb. Its organic oval-shaped lampshades are easily adjustable, held directly on the bulb by a light wire frame. Dimensions: 14 x 15 x 11 cm.
