Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV Style Candelabra Lamps, Signed Sèvres
About the Item
An elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu and porcelain electrified candelabras lamps, signed Sèvres. Each beautiful lamp is raised by a circular Biscuit de Sèvres porcelain base with large 'C' scrolled reserves and ground like designs. Above the base are charming porcelain maidens dancing with their arms in the air and their hair tied in elegant updos. Between the maidens and supporting the candelabras, are ornate triangular shaped columns decorated with a lovely Coeur-de-Rai bands at the bottom, handsome rams heads at the top corners and abundant floral garlands. Each of the arms, elegantly staggered over three heights, display exceptional scrolled designs and magnificent floral candle cups.
