About the Item
A stunning and extremely high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Crystal lamps. Each cut Crystal lamp is raised by an elegant square Ormolu base with concave sides and beautiful finely detailed Coeur de Rai and berried laurel wrap around bands. The socle shaped pedestals display most decorative spiral fluted designs leading up to striking pierced foliate mounts which encase the beautifully shaped cut Crystal baluster shaped bodies. At each side are graceful richly chased swans with curved necks holding charming intricately detailed floral garlands swaging along the front and back while leading up to a fine tied ribbon. Above are wrap around bands with lovely foliate designs in a rich satin and burnished finish. Exceptional quality and wonderful attention to detail throughout.
