About the Item
A pair of stunning Italian 18th century Louis XVI period mecca and silver leaf lamps. Each lamp is raised on a mottled round pedestal. The body has silver leaf on wood and is decorated with gold mecca with designs of acanthus leaves and garlands. At each side are serpent shaped handles joined wth a twisted band design, below the gold mecca neck. All original silver leaf and mecca.
