Pair of Italian travertine lamps by ce va study Firenze, 1970s
About the Item
Pair of tall table lamps with large original lampshades by CE.VA Study, Firenze Italy circa 1970.
The base is in turned travertine, mounted on a chromed steel base, the bulb fitting is also adorned with chromed steel, the lampshades are the original ones in green fabric and polished aluminium.
The lamps are heavy and quite tall, offering an ideal soft light for large interiors. Overal condition is good, the shades are well preserved with no spots or defects, no chips or scratches on the travertine parts, slight traces of oxidation and use on the chromed parts.
Little is known about CE.VA Study Firenze, they are know for producing high end lighting pieces usually made out of noble materials such as travertine.
