Pair of neoclassical Louis XVI style crystal and gilt bronze lyre candelabra,
French, 19th century
Dimensions: Height 40cm, width 26cm, depth 24cm
Inspired by the neoclassical Louis XVI style, this superb pair of ormolu table candelabra are unusually shaped as lyres, with droplets of cut glass throughout. Each candelabrum features two scrolled light branches, which attach to the lyre shaped body, terminating in a circular base. At the top of the lyres, a classical mask is placed centrally.
