About the Item
Pair of table lamps designed by Ini Archibong for Sé Collections, produced as part of Collection IV in 2018. Named Athena, the design consists of four carefully balanced elements: a circular white powder-coated metal base, pale pink ceramic body, spherical white frosted glass globe, and brass finial. The composition reflects Archibong’s distinctive exploration of proportion, craft, and material dialogue, characteristic of his broader work in contemporary design.
Trained as both designer and architect, Archibong’s work often draws on cultural narratives, balancing sculptural form with functional clarity. Sé Collections, recognized for its collaborations with contemporary designers and refined production, brings this vision to execution with a focus on material quality and precision craftsmanship.
Wired for UK power (220v–240v) with UK plugs. Each lamp measures 30.5 cm in height and 22 cm in diameter. Both examples in excellent condition; ex-display.

Ini Archibong
Ini Archibong was born in 1983 in Pasadena, California. Trained as an industrial designer, Archibong graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from the Art Center College of Design and later received a Master’s in Luxury design and craftsmanship from the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL). Archibong has been recently named the 2019 Art Center Young Innovator Alumni Award recipient. His work has been exhibited at numerous international museums such as at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and most recently in the exhibition, Speechless, co-organized by the Dallas Museum of Art and the High Museum of Art. Archibong has had numerous high-profile collaborations, including with Hermès and Knoll.
