Another top quality, antique French pendant light with a perfect Art Deco design. This stunning and finer quality Art Deco ceiling lamp was realized by glass studio Léon Auguste Hugue (Paris, 1878 – Clichy-la-Garenne, 1970) who began his career as a bronze fitter. In 1907, he established his own bronze lighting manufacturing business at 14 rue Pierre Levée. In 1913, he created a new limited partnership, "L. Hugue, fabrique de bronzes et d’appareils d’éclairage," at number 10 in the same street. The business grew, and around 1925, he set up a factory at 68 rue des Rondeaux, where he worked with the help of his son Maurice Léon, also a bronze fitter. 100% Unrestored and original condition, mushroom design table lamp. This very unusual and modernistic work of lighting art comes with the maker's mark M. Sabino in the base and it is another one of our latest great 'finds'.
