About the Item

Michel Armand’s sculptural gilded bronze table lamp “Ruche” consists of metal cylindrical tubes that have been welded together and shaped into a perfect spherical form resting on an arched metal base. A portion of the lamp is removeable from the top to facilitate access to the light fixture inside. To achieve such perfection requires great skill and mastery of metal working technical skills as is evident in this lamp - certainly no easy feat. The lamp was manufactured by Atelier Michel Armand, Inc. located in Montreal, Canada sometime in the 1970’s. Only limited numbers were produced, making this lamp quite rare and desirable for lamp collectors. It has a rich and beautiful patina, and, in our opinion, it is excellent condition.
