Inspired by the artist’s time spent collecting stones along the coastline of Rockland, Maine, this sculptural ceramic table lamp is both a functional light source and a vessel for personal curation. Designed with three carved niches in its gently contoured base, the lamp invites collectors to insert their own found objects—stones, shells, or small keepsakes—transforming the piece over time into something uniquely their own.
The base is first thrown and assembled on the potter’s wheel, then coated with porcelain slip to create a smooth, matte finish. Its soft, organic silhouette complements a minimalist aesthetic, making it ideal for a side table, shelf, or nightstand. This is a lamp that evolves with its surroundings—an ever-changing sculpture as much as a source of illumination.
