About the Item
Sculptural Ceramic Table Lamp, The Netherlands, first half of the 20th century.
This is a special ceramic lamp. Both the form and the execution are expressive and interesting. The lamp has a classic shape and beautiful glaze and color. In addition, you will find two special diagonal levers on one side. The glaze has a beautiful drawing and color and if you look closely at the lamp base, the drawing looks a bit like a beautiful spring blossom.
Although the lamp appears relatively modern, the lamp is a piece from the first half of the last century. Made in Gouda, a Dutch city famous for cheese, but also a place where a lot of special ceramics were made at that time.
The lamp base is signed and in good condition. The hood that is included has some subtle spots. Of course, the lamp can always be equipped with a different shade.
